Rihanna recently reached another boss level, when her iconic lingerie brand received a $1billion valuation. And the nine-time Grammy winner is churning out some new looks from her line, as she prepares for things to heat up. She got ready for springtime Sunday, as she showed off her famous bod on Instagram, modelling a sizzling floral bikini and matching coverup for a ’70s chic Savage X Fenty campaign
The 33-year-old donned the turquoise look while splayed across a lounge chair, as she lied out in a lush garden.
She channeled classic Cher with some long ironed hair and bangs in the retro filtered photo, which she captioned: ‘savage af. don’t trip.’
It comes after luxury conglomerate LVMH announced earlier this month that Fenty Fashion House has been put on pause after two years.
The French company came to the decision with Rihanna, ‘pending better conditions,’ as they continue to focus on Savage X Fenty, as well as Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin.
Savage X Fenty has since reached a major milestone with a $1billion valuation, after raising its $115million Series B funding round.
Private equity firm L Catterton, in which LVMH has a stake, helped the brand secure funding to expand into a line of athletic wear.
Rihanna and LVMH said in a statement to WWD: ‘Following the completion of the fundraising round where L Catterton took a stake in Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirmed their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare, and lingerie.’
She celebrated the news just days before ringing in her 33rd birthday, as she was showered with sweet messages from Cardi B, Mariah Carey, Megan Thee Stallion and other celebs.
Savage X Fenty posted a tribute to their founder with a montage on Instagram, writing: ‘And it’s (actually her) birthday. Happy birthday to the Baddest Gal, @badgalriri.’
The Umbrella artist also celebrated by releasing a limited edition ‘Queen Size’ of her visual autobiography The Rihanna Book, with only 500 copies available, retailing for $1,495.
