Following Manchester United’s thrilling triumph at The London Stadium, a video had emerged showing Paul Pogba reacting superbly to insults from West Ham supporters.

As he walked down the alley at full time, the World Cup champion embraced the accusations that were hurled in his way. Manchester United assistant Michael Carrick and fellow player Bruno Fernandes ultimately took Pogba away from the angry crowd. That West Ham supporters were insulting Pogba’s record of assists and branding him as a fake.

The 28-year-old has experienced a good beginning to the season to some extent, with some pretty good wins against Leeds and Newcastle at Old Trafford. However, rumors about his coming years keep on circulating, especially since his existing agreement is due to expire in June.

His brother Mathias believes that the midfielder has yet to determine where he’ll be joining next season. He adds that he’s currently ‘feeling happy’ about life and the other things at Old Trafford.

Pogba, on the other hand, did not have his greatest day in the United jersey that day. Hammer Jesse Lingard, who replaced him, stole the limelight with a stunning victor in the closing minutes of normal time. His influence and performance were praised by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjr, especially after the blunder in Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League loss to Young Boys.

At full-time, the Norwegian told MUTV that he’s delighted for him. He said, “on Tuesday, he was down, and today he’s high.” You’re up, you’re down, you’re up-but that’s football. He netted against Newcastle. You have to accept it, and Jesse has learned to deal with the highs and lows of football.

After facing West Ham in the League Cup on Wednesday, Pogba and his teammates will face Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United’s undefeated beginning to the Premier League season will be maintained if they win that game. They might even climb to the top of the table. It might help Pogba to block out of the haters a tad simpler.
