Just like every popular movie and show, The Witcher of Netflix, too, received a lot of ridiculous fan theories, which made no sense to the original story or the comic version. These are mere rumors, and since the show completely sticks on to its original version, the fan theories remain to be a myth as the show is progressing towards its second season. So here are some of the fan theories which made no sense to the Witcher show on Netflix.
1. Witcher being characterized as a demon
One of the most popular fan theories states that the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, was a demon once, and still, he possesses the demonic characteristics and powers within him. These fan theories make no point when the original Witcher stories state that the man with great superpowers can turn him to be a monster, but none of these shows that he is demonic or possessed by a demon character. Therefore it’s best to rule out the possibility that Geralt of Rivia is a demonic character.
2. Romance between Ciri of Cintra and Geralt of Rivia
One of the fan theories which absolutely made no sense is that the princess Ciri and Geralt of Rivia are in a romantic relationship. Even the show clearly states that the Witcher has to take care of princess Ciri, and he is like a father figure for Ciri whenever the situation comes. He is responsible for her protection as she is prone to attacks from the other kingdoms. Also, the original version states the romantic relationship between Yennefer of Vengerberg and Geralt of Rivia. So again, this turns out to be another ridiculous fan theory to rule out.
3. Yennefer of Vengerberg becoming a Witcher
If anyone ever has the chance to become a Witcher in the lead cast of the show, it is only Princess Ciri of Cintra. Yennefer of Vengerberg is already one of the most powerful mages of her era, and it is totally ridiculous to think that she will become a Witcher. In some ways, she, as a sorceress, is more powerful than the Witcher himself and can easily beat him if she intends to do so. Therefore again, there’s no chance that Yennefer of Vengerberg is becoming a Witcher.
4. Death of Yennefer
Usually, the shows have a habit of killing the favorite and important characters to provide some hype to the show, but the things aren’t the same with The Witcher. Another ridiculous fan theory states that Yennefer of Vengerberg will end up dead, but no, she can be weak at some points of time, but her death is not a part of the Witcher universe.
